Why “Power for Good”?

The theme for 2025, “Power for Good”, was chosen following consultation with children, young people and teachers. It’s an invitation to recognise that we all hold power — not the power to bully, but the power to act, to support, to include, to stand up. This might feel small in the moment, but together those small actions build strong, positive change.

The message is clear:

• From playgrounds to phones, from home to school, bullying can happen anywhere — and silence allows it to grow.
• This Anti-Bullying Week asks us to use our power for good: to speak out when we see wrong, to stand alongside someone being targeted, to choose kindness when we could choose anything else.
